Another police encounter with suspected robbery gang member was on the paper. Like the Paranaque incident ,the place Ozamiz is again on the limelight. It is quite ridiculous for the authorities to just tagged a suspect to a group. Why? they already know who these people are. it seems, easily telling reporters that they are of these groups. Yet..
it makes you wonder how come they do not just have the place raided. It is unfair to the good people when the place is being tagged. Nothing can be done when a bad egg comes from your place, but knowing that thats where those bad eggs coming from and do nothing about it is insanity. It somehow reflects the just how ineffective is the police and justice system that the executive become powerless. No wonder the executive is corrupted with bad eggs.Thats when the trouble magnifies when the executive becomes the source of bad eggs

That Muslim " thing "
One always wonder, whats with our muslim brothers/sisters that makes them kind different? That it seems they're the Samaritans amongst us. Thy're kind being typecast or stereotyped.Others even think they're filthy.A friend who lives in a heavily dominated Maranao Muslim community narrated that he never even tried in his own life to learn their dialect. He despised the culture he blurted when asked.
That kind of feeling begets bigotry, of course and should not be amongst any of us.
The incident at the golf course does not help the cause of having a civil relationship though. It is an irony that those who are supposed to be the educated muslim and considered leaders from them are also the bad examples. That act simply magnified what most christians take on muslims- that they're savaged kind of people.Too bad for the De la Paz and too sorry for the true muslims of course.

Christmas Crisis?
I went to buy groceries four hours ago , and i was amazed at the long lines on the counters. I couldn't help but wonder, is there really an economic trouble amidst these frenzy people lining up to pay the goods they want for this season? Are the economist underestimated the blackmarket- the money on the street? Or maybe....
..the people were just having their last penny for this christmas season? The sight though makes your heart warmed. At least youll know that people are still buying and of course keeping the spirit of the season alive by having a little to spare for a Christmas celebration. There's always a way when we do things for the right reason.

Iligan Under Fear
In a span of 4 days,4 bombs were placed in places where death surely comes. And 2 of those served its purpose. Thank goodness the other two were found and diffused. So who'se grinning mouth to ear? not to ear yet as all bombs did not explode.
Those cowards and pigs do not even have the gall to expose their face, a typical culture of Filipino terrorist. Look at those Abu Sayyaf and MILF when they face the camera, they cover their faces. Except of course their leaders who want extra media mileage.

State of Sea Travel
When was the last time you take a long trip by a boat? That kind of question would somehow give you an idea what do you expect with todays shipping industry. With the frequent news regarding ferry capsizing and ships in trouble while on voyage, it pays to really be in a trip and feel firsthand how is it.Im not talking of my trip being capsized or in trouble, ill tell you.
The last time i took a boat was 2001, Manila to Cagayan De Oro. I took a Sulpicio ship,i cannot recall its name. What i can remember best then was the heightened security at the pier terminal with bags inspected and k9 units. However at the boat i cannot say more except that the boat travels past and with very few passengers, it was not peak season, understandably, the foods is better than its competitor. We left Manila 8PM Friday and were in Cagayan pier by 11 PM the next day! I love it! I had some baggage with those offduty messboys moonlighting as porter, making rounds and arranging with the passengers that theyll carry baggages at half price those pier porters charges.Who can refuse such an offer, i had mine too.
Back to the present,2008 from November to December, i was travelling back and forth to Manila by boat. This time i am more particular with how things are doing this time.Especially that only Negros Navigation and WGA shipping lines are operating since sulpicio's ships are tied up at port due to consistencies in ship sinking.
WGA been the beneficiary of my schedule as Negros Navigation ships come far in between. So this observation refers to the following ships, Suferferry 5,SF 2,SF 12.
I would like to point out that these observations may be at that time im onboard true , but later corrected or changed otherwise. Also these can be true to ships of other shipping companies.
Security: They learned really good ,after all they owned SF 14 and it was bombed.Security is tight, and courteous but authoritative. I just wonder what are those novelty seems paraphernalias in carton boxes checked items by items by security at the Eva Macapagal terminal.Obviously its owned by Muslim trader as i saw one explaining to the inspector.
Foods: That always fascinates me how in the world that ships are not covered with the price control regulatory board of this goverment! No wonder travellers bring lots of foods and in turn trashes while taking aboat ride. I like SF 2 taste of foods better, i prefer to take the economy accomodation and with no free meals.
Ill tell you, you take a without free meal, otherwise youll starved lining up. The line goes into lull when the washers run out of fork spoons and plates. They simply seems not having the speed to catch up with the usage.ill tell you its a very long line.
Accomodation: Greatly better than before, except that they are not having movies shown. Movie Piracy problem? The ACU works great, the bunks are clean comfortable.
Comfort Rooms: I had a laughing out loud session with an american tourist who happens to be in the same trip as i take him for a walk onboard SF 12, when i told him what CR means. We went to CR and he said "is that how they are supposed to be called comfort rooms? LOL. I told him you better appreciate SF 12 , coz youll roll out loud laughing with the CR of SF 5.Its good that nobody was washing their feet on the lavatory. I nearly puked when this guy about to pray maybe, lifted up his footandi was on the lavatory beside brushing my teeth.SF 2 has the cleanest and well maintained CR with the assigned person checking the place time to time.
Privacy: I observed that there's a prayer room, but only chanced once to see one praying there. It was a lady. And twice i was turned off when this prayer loving guy with his magic carpet just spread it and facing at my side begun his rituals. Gee, i have to vacate the couch i felt so good sitting as we both look like jerks, he praying at me, and me not looking at him.
Personnel: SF 5 are friendlier.
Cellphone Charging: They miss this out big. When they had a charging place made, they underestimate the buying power of peso with china made gizmos that needs to be recharged as well.Hey i've got two cellphones, an ipod, and a digicam and a laptop, how can i charge it if they only have 60 outlets.Where's the math ratio of the electricians there.
Overall Rating: I must admit that the shipping industry got a big lift when Superferries enter into business and how the competition bears favorable travel experience. The condition of the shipping industry is very much vibrant.Gone were the days that you would almost like to jump on the ocean as you feel the boredom while at sea.

News Buff
Ever since i learned to read, i was 4 then, reading has alway been my favorite. I come to think that had this technology been here since then, modesty aside, i would be much smarter, and more knowledgeable. Of course that claim can be of anybody as long he or she really wanted to learn through reading. So comes the question,"who's smarter? todays generation with the e learning or the past generation who relied then of the books in the libraries?.
Anyway, what i am driving at, is that at the tip of the fingers and the grip of this little thing called mouse and a click, there goes the whole world of information to be learned under the sun. Endless possibilities of learning something. One could just frown, the downside of this technology though, that is, it has the other side which often times drives you nuts!
Porns, spams, virus, malwares, scams and what have you. Sites of information even are hacked that one has to be caeful of what it is feeding on its site.
One thing that i will be grateful to be able to live to be into this technology era is that i can read current events. I love news, and with apology to those who say that "no news is good news", i just swallow any news hook line and sinker. Only though that i don't get indigestion, i guess i process the information and excrete that which is trash in my own understanding. I even think then that maybe i should be with the mass media than being with a profession where most are being joked as "has the right to remain silent".
Lately, i feel quite perflexed that in this modern world, where even a cellphone could make a report on the spot, of an event which are to some may not be attentiongrabbing, but of equally significant to a unknown readers, there are still news that we do not hear, read learn. Can you believe that? Yea sure. So came this idea of mine, that im going to start this site, for whosoever feel the same way. At the same time , i see this an opportunity to be a contributor to what is current. Do i limit the information to the locality where i live? Are ou crazy? its becoming a smaller world, thats the beauty of this internet technology and its immense potential that we are bound to see more. So, who can write or post?. Are you insane? who am i , when im just like anybody who wanted a better alternative to the news writeups constantly bombarded from the traditonal mass media. In short, let us be Heard, let us be Known, let us be the Newsmaker we wanted to be.
